Well, Incheon is a very big city so you'll have pretty much all you need right there. It seems a bit scary, but it's going to be a great experience. 3 pieces of advice: 1. Stalk up on your preferred deoderant of choice. it may be tough to find...bring a years supply. 2. Buy a Lonely Planet Korean phrasebook before you leave..it's a useful book. 3. Once you get to Korea, learn to read Korean asap...it's not difficult and will make life easier :)

thank you...i will be woking for EPIK. i'm scared by the prospect of going away for a year to teach ESL in south korea, but i am excited! do you have any suggestions as to how to make adapting to the korean culture easier for myself, the city of incheon, or anything in general that you think would be of help to me prior to leaving the us?

Yep.....port city. Close to Ilsan. it's very industiral and gritty. That's where McAurthur made his landing during the Korean War!

Ive been travel to both Jeju Island and Busan, they are really two beautiful place in Korea, if you like the sea, the nature secneary, you come to the right place,hope you will enjoy your future life here, I am an ESL graduate student here。
