yeah... errm "don't be so scientist, never stop asking why" ...thats KINDA what scientists do... except after asking why we tend to back up our answers with some reason and maths and not just believe something on "faith". (I'm a scientist)
And it isn't meaningless to know that we'll die and end. in fact its meaningful. it means that you need to enjoy life while you have it, either that or devise a way of living longer. your choice.
