it would have been awesome if aragorn fought sauron

I see what you mean Sauron was not meant to be a human being that could physically harm someone. He could assault their minds with his intellect and thats how he controls or confuses people like he does with Denethor and well with all his troops. He is a mysterious figure that everyone fears and none can escape.

Sauron should have apeared at least in a special version or something...

true but searching on the polls the fan's don't want sauron in the movie anyway and they were glad he never appeared in the books, and with him not existing tolkien may is well have had him has a god like precence in the sky's of mordor, tolkien does not help the cause when he as the eye mentioned in the books is well and jackson took it literly. but despite jackson deciding not to put sauron in the rotk, seeing jackson interviewed he as big problem with how tolkien has used sauron in the books.

Most people can't comprehend a ghostly figure controlling these evil forces.

they could of put this is only if sauron had aragon truely beaten so then it would rely on frodo to save every1 not aragon still the troll was cool

I know what u mean with that eye, I think it was a bad idea having the eye in the lord of the rings in general in the books is well. sauron would have been so much cooler if he was some kind of precence in the skys of mordor it makes him feel like the dark lord. they could have given people the option having that fight scene in the extended edition.

The idea of the "flaming eye" appearing on top of Barad Dur in the movie is so idiotic, it looks almost like a flashlight pointing in different directions. I'd much rather prefer the "angelic" figure of Sauron appearing briefly, for a couple of seconds only, but without the fight with Aragorn. This would kind of show that Sauron's thought was present with his armies, giving them will to fight, and pushing them forward,as it actually was in the book. And it was Pippin who fought and slew the troll

The nazgul would have stopped him before he could actually reach Mt. Doom.

That armoured troll was suposed to represent the Troll Cheiften "VEGNASSA" that Merry killed, which earned him the title "MERRY THE MAGNIFICENT"......but unfortinutly they dropped that part...
