Marty was a true singing cowboy, wonder what influences he would've gave if still alive.

*Chills* Man, I haven't heard this in forever, My dad had a tape of most of Marty Robbins' songs, and this one was one of my favorites.
Big Iron, Old Red, they were all amazing. There's just something haunting about the way that he sings that will never get old.

I would agree. His tremendous depth of talent and ability to create and bring stories like this to life with such clarity, emotion and power is amazing. And he could do this so naturally with such grace and fluidity that it appeared effortless on his part. Furthermore, his virtually perfect and amazingly expressive voice always conveyed his natural, clean sense of goodness and decency.
