Really enjoyed these old Marty Robbins and Jerry Byrd clips. Where did they come from a TV Show? 52 years ago I learned to play steel by listening to Jerry Byrd records. Then years later I went to Hawaii on my honeymoon, he was playing at the Royal Hawaiian. We caught his shows! What a treat! He played all my favorites and my wife and I danced all night! After not playing for 50 years, I am now going to get my old Rickenbacher 6 string out of the attic and brush up! Thanks. tom7nan

Thanks, I meant A7.
Yes, so use the A7 every place I listed the A.
I tried the Em7 in the bridge, seems to work pretty nice, Thanks for the tip.

Help me here!
This is a nice song. I'm trying to figure out the chords, so far I'm getting (D),A,D,D#dim,Em,A,D. This verse repeats, then the,
Bridge:
D7th,G,Gm,D,B7th,Em,A.
Then back to the verse:
A,D,D#dim,Em,A,D.
Marty's playing something other than the Em but it seems to work.
Come on guitar players etc. help me out here.

This song is among the most very beautiful pieces you can find on youtube.
Marty Robbins, the finest "western" singer ever, and Jerry Byrd, "the master of touch and tone" on steel guitar. It gets no better than this!
Friends, this is what music was meant to be.

I like the one who was responsible for accompaniments. He played really well.
