Everyone loves for the little guy to win. Applaud his courage and determination if you wish -- love his singing if you wish -- but until he has studied for a dozen years how to sing and makes his debut in a fully staged opera -- THEN can he be called an opera singer. Until then, he is a pop singer. This does not mean that he does not bring pleasure to many, but really some perspective is called for. The man can barely sing one aria let alone an entire opera.

Bullirocks! So the "badest" tenor of all times has still managed to be able to sell millions of cd:s, having outsold concerts all over the world with more to come! And many of us have seen him more than once live, and believe it or not, cant wait for his next cd or his next concert to attend. Thats really strange if he is so bad as you say. Can it be that the majority of us disagree with you?

Do it again Paul ... and agan and again ...
Dies schreibt jemand, die Jahre lang an der MET (Metropolitan Opera of NY) gearbeitet hat!

Sorry, but an opera singer is not made by singing in your living room -- it takes years of hard work and study. Mr. Potts is no opera singer. He phrases like a pop singer and it is a shame that he is being marketed as a classical musician becuase it belittles all the real musicians who are working hard to achieve their goals. Those who like him should not delude themselves into believeing that they are hearing opera

chickalpextle. Seriously, what is your problem. Pauls voice has to be one of most emotional classical voices out there, and his tenor range is outstanding. You neede to go to the graveside to apologize, to put it in your words, because Pavarotti chose Paul to sing twice out of an amatuer group in Italy.I don.t think Pavarotti would like someone who speaks like you.

This man has an increddible voice and personality. He touches soul and heart of the people, equal if youngsters or old people. He is for sure the best that could happen to inspire many people for classic music. And he is so open minded to say that he likes every kind of music.
I say it with ABBA: Thank you for the music, the songs YOU are singing. Thank you Paul Potts, stay as you are and congratulations! |
