I discovered that due to technical video problems in her first set at Blues Alley in Washington DC USA,There is not a video in existance of Eva performing her version of Fields Of Gold. Eva is no longer with us now. Therefore, I have edited clips of Eva, slowed them down, and set them to her beautiful version of Fields Of Gold. I hope you enjoy this clip as it is probably the closest we will ever get, short of having been there in Washington that night, to seeing Eva perform this beautiful song. Note: I scoured the planet and this is the only video version you will probably find of her performing this song. Birth name Eva Marie Cassidy Born February 2, 1963(1963-02-02) Washington, DC Origin Maryland, United States Died November 2, 1996 (aged 33) Bowie, Maryland To see, hear and learn more about Eva,please visit http://www.evacassidy.org ~Ric~ ________________________ _______________ P.S. Hengehugger has the ABC Nightline video documentary in three parts posted on YouTube.I recommend you all give it a view.Lots of clips and background on Eva.This is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... Lyrics to Evas' version: You'll remember me when the west wind moves Among the fields of barley You can tell the sun in his jealous sky When we walked in fields of gold So she took her love for to gaze awhile Among the fields of barley In his arms she fell as her hair came down Among the fields of gold Will you stay with me will you be my love Among the fields of barley And you can tell the sun in his jealous sky When we walked in fields of gold I never made promises lightly And there have been some that I've broken But I swear in the days still left We will walk in fields of gold We'll walk in fields of gold I never made promises lightly And there have been some that I've broken But I swear in the days still left We will walk in fields of gold We'll walk in fields of gold Many years have passed since those summer days Among the fields of barley See the children run as the sun goes down As you lie in fields of gold You'll remember me when the west wind moves Among the fields of barley You can tell the sun in his jealous sky When we walked in fields of gold When we walked in fields of gold When we walked in fields of gold

I'll admit to not having known about her until this past July when I was home in Ireland to meet my birthfamily. On the last night of and amazing and emotionally exhausting week Liz sang this for us, just as beautifully as Eva. This song will forever haunt me and remind me of meeting my family, especially Rose.

A true artist who went away so young but her beautiful voice lives on. I'm so sad listening to this song.

Im only 15. Everyone has a song to weep to, and this is mine. It is unbelieveably beautiful.
