I dont see the point of catching this fish just to measure it. Is there a legal limit already in place? In the vid he mentioned 5', and that a 4' fish wasnt mature. If the problem is that the limit is undersized, and they arent reaching maturity, then why not simply raise the size limitation? Or are they implying that the people are ignoring limits? In the U.S. we have strict fishing regulations, with size and in most cases quantity taken. These limits change with fish populations.

They said largest river not longest. The nile is the longest river but is pretty shallow and not very wide in most parts. The amaazon river may be shorter but it is wider and deeper than the nile.....and not to mention home to some of the worlds most dangerous animals.
