Only noteable quality def is the electrical hiccups the bmws suffer. BMW has a well known and trusted build quality. Not to mention way better handleing feel and handleing statistics. Lexus NA discloses that it targets the "3 series market for those who want a more relaxed car." hence no manual and softer suspension set up. both are great, but they are marketed at different folks.

All of the car mags generally agree on about 4.3 for the F and 4.9 to 5.1 for the is350. With the 350 turning in about a 13.5-13.7 1/4. Thats almost the same as a 335i. When running g35/37 350z audis, acuras and such i have no worries, but the is 350 with its power and idiot proof slush box, well lets just say its a tough fight.
