It's a matter of personal taste. I'm unimpressed by the solo careers of both Paul and Art. I was actually unaware of what Art had been up to these past decades before I went googling the other day. It makes the magic they do produce even more special. And it is even more remarkable that they produce this magic every time they get together.

I don't think it's fair to dismiss Paul's solo career as mediocre, he recorded some truly great songs on Graceland. I agree with your overall sentiment though, the two of them together is magical, greater than the sum of the parts, and I hope they reunite again, and more often.

This is pure magic. Makes one wonder what they could have achieved had they stuck together. Paul was never anything other than a mediocre pop singer, although he did produce some worthwhile lyrics.
