Robeson was a great man who was a special sincere friend of Wales, miners and the less powerful throughout the world. A shining example

I would hate to read your review on a song you dislike.

It's a cool song but it's a rant and needs to be taken with a grain of salt as do Robeson's views about communism.
Sound quality is total crap though, ugly and distorted, couldn't you have done a better job recording this?

The human qualities are admired.
The socialist views never work though.
Human rights yes, communism no.

Paul Robeson is a hero of gigantic proportions! YES he is the greatest American ever! (I'd just add that does not mean we should ever forget Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer who I think rises very closes to Big Paul's heights.)

Amen to all that you're saying!

Especially in politics, praise the Lord!

I agree. Pure class!

Greatest American ever. There has never been a man born in this country with all the talents he possessed. He is an inspiration. Yes, in politics, too!

Seeing how he praised USSR and Stalin, in my opinion he turned into one of those "useful idiots". Just like Shaw, and all those Chavez fan boys and girls today. But that wasn't his fault. It only took the soviets setting up one Potemkin village and no foreigner could tell whats what.
Yeah, silly segregation laws. I'd love to be a black person in 1950s and occupy the seats meant for the white people, even more to piss them off.:) |
