Goddamn I miss Stevie's music. He makes it look so natural and simple, it makes you want to just give up trying to play like him. Sort of like Peart makes you wanna just put the damn sticks down and stop trying to play drums lol.

I saw SRV 3 times at outdoor concerts and always had the best time - I will never forget his shows. The last time I saw him was a couple weeks before he died - was really sad to hear. RIP SRV!

Wow... Such a genuine guy! I remember he died when I was 5 and being from Houston,TX, they played a lot of his stuff on the radio. I remember this guy who worked for my dad told me once about how he saw SRV at Fitzgeralds (a local Houston club) in 1983 and SRV did a few encores and the cops finally came out around 4 to shut the place down. The club is an old house on the corner of an old neighborhood. But hey, if SRV was jamming all night outside my window, I wouldn't mind! :-)
