indeed they were. i find it interesting that so many lifters think that by benching 500 pounds they are strong, but they probably couldnt run a half a mile without exhaustion.

PS: to all those saying the spotters are failing to do their job, you are incorrect. Spotters are to help you once you fail, not to keep you from dropping the weight. What do you expect the spotters to do? Catch 400 plus pounds in a half a second? only if Superman is your spotter. Wise up, all of these mistakes were made by the lifters.
