The Dalai Lama is condemning what he calls China's rule of terror. Chinese police are reported to be going from door to door in the capital Llhasa, hunting Tibetans involved in the most serious uprising against Chinese rule for nearly 20 years. Tibet's self declared government in exile says 80 people have been killed. Protests appear to be spreading outside Tibet as latest reports from Sichuan in south west China say 3 protesters have been shot dead there. Al Jazeera's Owen Fay reports

DoughBoy, why must you work blue? Saulan can write, spell, communicate well-she's not stupid. She just has an opposing view. When you debase her, you shame yourself.

So the global economy is in meltdown, Europe & China facing the prospect of a seriously ugly downturn. They'd scheduled a summit for this week. You'd think both sides would want to participate. Not China. China canceled it. The reason? Because several European leaders - including French President Nicolas Sarkozy - have recently met with the Dalai Lama. Whoa! Now there's a solid reason if I ever saw one. You meet with Buddhist spiritual leader, we blow off a key meeting on future of the world.

And kill Hui Muslims?? That's what the CCP does, not the Dalai Lama. My family is from Lanzhou.

Hey, if Tibet was part of China for 700 years how come you only suddenly decided to be nice and invest in it now? Tibet always part of China?? What a JOKE. No Chinese names for hundreds of Tibetan plants, for Tibetan foods, for Tibetan customs, for Tibetan clothing items, for Tibetan architecture, for Tibetan philosophical systems--all these terms had to be magically "created" after 1950. Know you you can tell? All the "nameless" items never appeared in traditional Chinese script!!

how stupid are you? the only reason tibet has all the modern amentites is because of chinese investment. tibet before china was a medieval hell hole. get your facts right. tibet has no natural resources or habitable land whatsoever. how could the tibetans lift themselves out of the middle ages? tibet was centuries behind china before we came along. daliar would kill all non tibetans including hui muslims and ban dorje shugden. without us, tibet would be stuck in the middle ages

FREE TIBET. Chinese living in Tibet under Tibetan rule would be light years ahead of those in China. Chinese people in a free Tibet would have unlimited access to information, media & the internet; they would have freedom of assembly, freedom of the press, freedom of speech & freedom of travel. They could write books without being thrown in jail; if they wanted to protest something, they could do so without fear of green uniforms & beating sticks. FREE TIBET for EVERYONE in it.

china (ccp) thinks, that ocupying Tibet illegally, killing tibetans and than blaming tibetans, is a great thing they(ccp) are doing, BUT NO NO NO . sooner or latter, china will have to pay a big price for it.
