no i think your wrong, sauron wasnt part of the same order as saruman and gandalf, if i remember correctly sauron was either angel or half god
while saruman and gandalf are wizards

he took on many forms, fair and fell, and was once considered quite fair among the Numenorians. not sure if it was one of man or elf, but i think in the Silmarillion it is told. After the fall of Numenor he lost the ability to seem fair and his outward form is one of a dark lord. so it wouldnt make sense for him to be fair under the armor...the armor probably is his form at this point. otherwise, probably something scary-lookin like DarkLordess said

not sure what scene you're referring to. one of those what? wizards? if so, no, Sauron was of the maiar, servants to the Valar. The wizards seem to be maiar as well though, so Sauron is somewhat akin. was at least.

He doesn't have a robotic form. It's armor. He lost his ability to take a fair form.
