Also, your attitude is the reason many people feel ashamed of this illness and therefore don't get the help they need. You are entitled to your opinion, I am just posting because you hit a nerve. Thanks for your time and please, if you feel the need to post negative comments about a genuine illness again go and do it with lots of other small minded people and leave the people to whom it is an every day reality alone. You should know that while you may have met someone who was indeed a fraud who claimed to have Bipolar, many people are suffering from something very real out there. My ex girlfriend suffers from bipolar and I care about her, so your attitude towards it, and therefore her makes me very sad. I know that you wont care about anything I have said but I want to tell you that I spent a lot of time with my ex and felt that I began to understand the illness and can tell you it is very real.
