The back beat of "One, TWO, three, FOUR" is not elevator style. It's used in many, many rock and jazz beats. (I just forget which of the two).

It his similarities to smooth jazz.
Not saying I don't like it, and the musicianship is farrr better than "elevator music". But there are definitely similarities: i.e. the back beat (one TWO three FOUR), the guitar tone, etc...
