---By Popular Demand--- ***** THE SONG NAMES ***** 1. Agfa Montage - One Hour Photo 2. Requiem For A Dream Soundtrack In researching different elements of Silent Hill, screenwriter Roger Avary came across a town called Centralia which is in Pennsylvania. Centralia planted the seed for what developed into the town of Silent Hill. This is a short documentary I made in 2003 about the town which inspired Silent Hill which has been linked to from various places on the net. Wonderful job on documenting this! I've been to Centrailia before, and I think you did an excellent job in pointing out the features that really define the town. One thing I think you should have added is the fact that the fires have been going on in Centrailia for over 40 years now, and that they've tried putting out the fires with no success, but overall great documentary.

ive been to centralia like 6 times and ive never been followed by anyone, if you want to really see something go to the Breezewood Pennsylvania tunnels, google it to get the location, if you do bring bikes and HEAVY DUTY flashlights

My friend and I visited that town yesterday so he could do his report and I could take pictures. We were followed 90% of the time by these hillbillies. No matter where we were, they parked their cars and watched us take pictures. I couldnt find that abandoned highway which really pissed me off. And where were those giant pipes?!?!?! Unless you guys are in a magical place those didn't exist in any part of the town.

Please don't post your beliefs without doing some research. Centralia's mine fire predates Silent Hill.

Hi. Just thought I would drop by and say you're not retarded, you're just ill-informed. The town of Centralia predates your Silent Hill games by quite a few decades.

Only a movie adaptation would ruin both.

Yes, it started in 1962, the fire has been burning for 46 years and it's slowly spreading, endangering possibly 3.7k acres. The nearby town of (ironicly) Ashland is in danger of being evaced like centralia. Although, there are some people who refused to move, and still live in centralia citing a govt conspiracy to make everyone move so the town would defunct the rights to the coal resources beneathe it to the fed govt.

Exactly, the town has been on fire since the 60s, so I would have to say that the games are based on it also.
