Are you kidding ?? their mother was Rose Elizabeth Thompson Hovick and died during the 1950s !!! Ethel Merman died in 1984, and she had one girl and one boy who have nothing to do with June or Gypsy Lee !!!

I recall an interview with a reporter who reminisced about a press conference with Gypsy. She was demurely dressed but, all through the questions and answers, very slowly unbuttoned one of her elbow length gloves. At the end of the session his notebook was blank.
