because as soon as you hit gold level it becomes more of a routine then a dance were the guy choozes all the steps. and in the paso it stops at certain points. its has to be the same song so the dancers are ready for the pose to look good.

it's competition. therefore, we need an even setup for the dancers. meaning the same song will be played throughout.
