I like vai but this is NOT his best solo. He had some crazy shyt with david lee roth and on the sex & religion album that is just nutz. Nobody does neoclassical better than malmsteen anyway. Not even jason becker(rip) sorry.

I dont and can not play that well. You can dispute it all you want, but I thought that since WHOEVER did play that, record and commit to a record was professional, and therefore would discriminate against a solo that was PLAYED incorrectly. I guess other musicians must be far better.

er, do you wanna play it for me? it is perfect an 56 sec., but reiguav1's sound isn't very well, if you think you can do it bettah than Vai himself (who wrote it himself), I'm curious, play it for me and put it on youtube and mail me how i can find it, but i don't think you're gonna do it

The playing on the movie was not perfect. It sounded like a struggle. So therefore it fit in with the whole theme. It wasn't a knockout, it had to be close. Vai is very good at faking levels of players like in Bill & Ted. He goes from playing nonsense to robotically perfect to well rounded human phrasing.

Not from movie. Different version. This version is almost ...sloppy. Sorry but it's true Listen closely at 56 sec.

Actually, this doesn't even sound like it came from the Elusive Lights album either, aerosilver. Haven't watched the movie in a while, but if you say it wasn't from the movie.... then I'm guessing maybe this was done through some software or something... Dunno, lol.

this audio is slightly different from Crossroads... Must be Vai playing it at some other time.

I didn't know the karate kid could play guitar ..Just kidding.. The inspiration Steve used for this song is Paganini Caprice 24. The "hardest" song ever
