Senna is the benchmark for some, in this case it comes down to personal opinion. BUT you dont WIN 7 titles by being merely above average. in that case, why hasnt, frentzen got some, coulthard, MOSS, Barrichello, Massa, Fisi. All of these drivers are above the average, so they should have at least 5 titles. And he didnt always have the best car, but when he did you have to remember he bloody developed the thing, so he deserved to have the best car. and an average drive in a good car wont win 7!

If Shumi was just an verage driver explain putting a Jordan (there 1st season and 1st car) on 7th on the Grid in his first race, when he had never even seen the circuit before. Or how he won the 1994 champ, with bans (benettons nothis and the inferior car, he had a V8 engine compared to Williams V10, and dont forget he was leading the Championship when Senna Died. He transformed Ferrari, who were crap when he went to them in 1996, he helped make the team what they became. More than just average.
