Thanks for your reply, animekisses11. OF COURSE, I am well aware that "Red River Valley" is an OLD (XIX Century, perhaps?) American folk song. But a rip-off is still a rip-off, isn't it? Speaking strictly in musical terms, the first two lines of the verse in "You Raise Me Up" are IDENTICAL to the corresponding lines in "Red River Valley"! That's a textbook case of PLAGIARISM and not only in my book!
