Red 2000 WS.6/6spd here too! Awesome cars!!

All the cars made the same power, flat hood or WS6, it was marketing - they still made somewhere around 350hp at the crank (yes, they are underratted, this is a known fact).
There is no "Trans Am Formula", the flathood T/A is the base T/A. The Formula is something different.
The Formula's spoiler is arguably more effective than the T/A's wing, which would make it draggier - thus compensating for the flat hood. Non-WS6 cars have more narrow tires, means smaller aero footprint too.

for $19,000? It either has very low miles, or alot of modifications.

i wish i have a firebird again i miss driving it.
it was fun driving it

well the thing is you can get a trans am formula without the ram air with the T/A spoiler. but it would still be the same as the fire bird with the 5.7 cause no ram air induction?

My neighbor is selling a black 1982-87 Trans Am. It looks pretty good but i dunno what's under the hood. Its goin for $19,000. My uncle used to drive the same car. Except it's red.

because the hood and the spoiler are different. The hood of the Ram Air retains more air, and the hood of the Formula cuts more through it. And because the spoiler and hood are much simple.. its less weight, but, the Ram Air has 320 HP.. And the Firebird Formula has 310HP, at least mine. And the standard Firebird pushes 305 HP..

Yuh. I read a article saying that from sombody from GM. Dont know the validity of it but its the same engine so wouldnt GM make a car that you could buy for less look worse than it actually to sell another car that almost the same that costs more? pretty sure they would |
