I would say Robert Greene's book is a crystallization of wisdom of strategists over centuries.Definitely Suntzu was original(?)or atleats as far as we know and his axioms have been worked out over a period of time. And his appeal to strategists has a stronger impact and thus Robert Greene's book seems like a greenhorn but this thinking is wrong.

Obviously you haven't read Chanakya.

I believe his insight is on point. I can't agree with Mr. Greene more.

he also took examples out of history, an expanded upon and modernized many of sun tzus principles. His books is and explanation of how to wage war in the modern world. Robert Greene did that and did it well. Also through the Prince into that mix, btw

I must admit, when I heard about it, the first thought was it sounds just like Sun Tzu, who has the added experience of war itself.

listen robert green is not a genius stratgist or even a talented writer. he is just a well read person and decided to summarize the words of ancient Sun Tzu and to analyze them. any college graduate could do that if he spent hours reading the stories he did.
again this man has created nothing new. he has simply presented it in a different fashion to make money off the genius of others (e.g. sun tzu, machiavelli, napoleon, etc. etc.)
PLEASE do NOT compare robert green to geniuses like Sun Tzu.
