omg you know whats so wierd, in houston's craigslist there is a girl whos name is megan, and she use's her doughter to get free clothes for her and her baby, and than resales them on craigslist, she lies and makes up all these fake stories to get free stuff and sales them on craigslist, and many have cought her and yet she doesnt learn, they call her the katy mom scammer.

oops. I'm sorry. i now realize that i said take them to the food. That's not smart for everyone. worked with me because i know that I'm grateful, willing, and peaceful. i forgot to consider that some of us are to far gone to be trusted. guess those people will have to make due with a snack bag.

Hungry people do not turn down food. period. however, i would like to ask that you consider offering the person a break by taking them to the nearest fast food joint. reason is that it is dangerous out here. not every one giving food is trying to be helpful. some people poison homemade food sacks. just to make you ill or play a joke on you with a laxative. you can also just stop to offer brotherly love and understanding. it goes a long way because we are a lonely outcast people. Thanks.

some of us wear hats to hide the fact that we can not comb or clean our hair. since we often sleep on the ground you may find remnants of grass and garbage and such in it. Some of us that have been out here for a while are incoherent in our speech. You know who's crazy as hell when you talk to them and who's giving you a sob story. If somebody says that they need bus fare home many charities will purchase it for them. Take them to the charity that does. offer lunch from mcd's.

how can you tell who is taking you for a ride? This is not perfect. here are some tips. homeless people don't normally afford luxuries such as nail clippers. we bite and tear our nails off. they are jagged misshapen and dirty most times. as well as our teeth, even if we do have straight teeth they are likely to be stained and discolored from a lack of brushing. We smell bad allot of times because we have been wearing the same clothes for several days. our breath may already smell like alcohol.

I guess what i want to say is that there is a real hurt out here and nobody really wants to lie to you. if you spent a moment with a homeless person and were genuinely interested (it might take a bit of coaxing) They would all have wonderful and heartbreak stories to tell you. stories of tragedy and stories of love and aspirations. When we follow people that do what this girl did. or watch them steal from you and get in a car. We chase them off. i promise. but we cant get them all.

In the rare instance that we are given a chance to work, (it has been my experience) nobody can seem to keep their damn mouth shut. The person that hires for some reason needs to turn you into a poster boy for how goddamn righteous and holy he is for giving my undeserving ass a job in the first place. This always creates a problem. people laugh at you and snicker and make rumors and disrespect you and cause fights and generally make you uncomfortable and shamed enough to leave.

we have to pay fines. alot of us smoke just like you. we buy the cheapest roll your own available or even pick up cigarette butts. we humiliate ourselves on a daily basis for handouts and the smartest thing you can say is get a job. well holy shit!!! i never thought of that. These people cant even clean themselves, they cant show up on time, and most likely they have developed problems that exclude them from mixing into a working atmosphere normally. we are rough, uncut and undesirable.

Some other things the money is spent on. Bathing. thats right, bathing cost money. i would normally have to offer 5 bucks to store keeper to let me come in and wash in the back sink. if some money is left over we might buy a small radio to listen to at night and the constant battery replacement cost money. We are also avid readers in all manner of things to enlighten, learn, and entertain. Thats not free either. nothing is. we also have to pay to take a crap. if caught crapping in the woods ..
