I was taught that if you don't repent, then you go to hell, and if you do, God will send you to his kingdom I don't know the specific scripture, i just know it's in revelations.

That doesn't sound like something God would say. The Lord tells us, we will be judged and given a second chance to repent. Not sending those who never knew of him straight to Hell. Did you know that?
