Yes I have for many years thought about leaving aberdeen like many others who have done so and which I can assure you will be to aberdeen's loss. I wonder if the young Chinese man who was nearly killed when he was attacked or the nurse who was stabbed or the numerous assaults, rapes and robberies that are reported many times a week in the local media would you also describe those victims as "bitter".

I feel sorry for you in that you feel so bitter about your hometown. Perhaps if you are so unhappy after 37 years in Aberdeen you should leave and find somewhere more to your liking? And for your information, I have not taken drugs, ever.

Well I expect cwood83 you spent your "happy years" on drugs. I was born in aberdeen and have had to live here for 37 years and that does qualify me to have a more informed opinion than yourself.

What a load of absolute rubbish! I spent five very happy years as a student in Aberdeen and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. It is a delightful city, with very friendly, welcoming people.

aberdeen is great, my parents got engaged there and lived there and started our family there too, i am going to study there soon
