What logical sense does it make to feel guilty over thrown away lunch? After all if you felt guilty enough you'd preserve your lunch and ship it to Africa! Fact is that when you waste something it doesn't hurt anyone, unless you had a way to give it to someone more needy it doesn't hurt them. When I throw some food away the children in Africa are no worse because of it. Somehow we get this rediculous idea that we should feel guilty for wasting what is ours to waste.

how could you say that this song means alot to some people!!! even me i know plenty of people hurt because of them being fat or thin, or even just poor. the other week i went on a feild trip into st.paul and the kids on the bus were saying "lets look for homeless people" i dont get how people can be like that! and it just rude to say that about this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry about my rant but that's what I thought when I saw that boy throw his perfectly good lunch away. But it was quite amazing to watch the boys give their lunch to the man. I just wish I was able to do more than just that. Whenever I see someone on the street I always want to give alt he moeny and food I have on me. It makes me feel good. =]

Because I knew that I didn't do anything to help those people. That I was a part of their problem. I ahve this habit of throwing my lunch away by mistake or giving it to others when I don't want it. I start feeling guilty when I realize that the food was from hard earned money. That I was practically throwing it away.

I always start feeling sick when people talk about poor people. Earlier this week one of my classmates threw her lunch away saying she didn't wanna eat it. This kid is actually hated because of her personality. But that didn't change the fact that my friends meant what they said when they started yelling at her. I listenened as they told her that she was selfish - What about poor people? What about people that didn't have food to eat? I felt guilty right then.
