Lol. You got it wrong, isandu84. Blade Runner isn't inspired by anime, it inspired countless anime. The book of which it's based off, is by the great Phillip K. Dick who is one of the greatest sciene fiction writers of all time. Who had already touched upon such concepts before. Just because you don't like it or seen anything important in it doesn't mean that it doesn't have any deeper meaning.

But he also says "..but then again who does".

He said "It's too bad she won't live."

That's true. Ridley Scott mentiod it in some interview..
Remember what Brian's helper says in the end? "To bad you won't live..."
And also think about the end-title music.. it's really evil - like the punchline of the whole movie.

If Deckard is not a replicant how do you explain the dream of the unicorn? In the director's cut version, the cop makes a silver foil unicorn just like the one in the dream - ergo - we know what you dream of :-) . Anyway, I sortof hope I'm wrong about it! I love this movie, seen it a million times...

No way is Deckard a replicant. The premise of a robot being more human than the human is what makes the movie. I'm not sure why Scott even eluded to it. Harrison Ford said it's not how he played the character. Besides, it doesn't fit into the rest of the story. Decker is introduced as the old cop who gets called back to duty in an emergency. Deckard meets Tyrell for the first time to Voight-Kampff Rachel. Deckard has human characteristics like a drinking problem.

That's hugely contested mate - even Ridley Scott has left that matter unresolved. And awesome soundtrack!!! |
