her voice is lovely but come on...that bassline is as good as anything jaco, greg lake, or mark king ever played. the bass guitar IS the song!

it's as though you are in my head and wrote my very thoughts. And I was sorely dissappointed when I found this song to be part of a remakes cd and not an album with more beautiful songs sung by liz fraser.

I never thought i would say this, but... the bass is too loud on the mix! (I'm a bass player). Elizabeth has such a beautiful voice, it should be more on the front

I like the fade you used to reveal one of my favorite voices. This song is so beautiful and it being her voice makes me want to cry for pure cathartic release.... AAAHHHHHHH

As usual a beautiful crystal clear voice from Elizabeth Fraser. I know that the ex-Cocteaus must be sick of hearing this but what an absolute shame that Liz's multi-layered vocal structures are no longer entwined with Robin Guthrie's fantastic guitarscapes. The Cocteau Twins were totally unique and will never be replaced, but at least we can still hear Liz's beautiful delicate voice.

Blimey - Liz singing a Chic song! Now I have heard it all! I must admit I think that the lyrics are a load of bollocks, and as Liz is mostly known for her glossolalia it is all a bit odd! But of course I have heard her singing words before - even with CT!
I think that she is one of the most stunningly beautiful vocalists ever and the Cocteau Twins will be played at my memorial (no funeral as I will die in the desert or on a mountain somewhere). |
