String Theory

The basic idea behind all string theories is that the fundamental constituents of reality are strings of extremely small size (possibly of the order of the Planck length, about 10−35 m) which vibrate at specific resonant frequencies.[2] Thus, any particle should be thought of as a tiny vibrating object, rather than as a point. This object can vibrate in different modes (just as a guitar string can produce different notes), with every mode appearing as a different particle (electron, photon etc.). Strings can split and combine, which would appear as particles emitting and absorbing other particles, presumably giving rise to the known interactions between particles. This is part 1 of "The Elegant Universe" series. more vids at http://videos.soulcravings.net...

I'm in Grade 8 and I'm really fascinated about all these theories. Is there anyone else close to my age group that's interested in this?

Maybe dogs have comprehended the grand unified theory, and have concluded there is nothing more important than licking their own balls. All i know is that physics is amazing... but never got me laid :(

true you're ideas are valid but they are philosophy not science. In fact its post modernism and if you examine post modernist ideology the more you will come to detest it.

Few ideas myself: -Everything exists in the sense that infinite is a relative term to all things around us. Universes envelop each and everything in an infinite space. -We're a creation of artificial intelligence from an outside source. Making it so we think on our own and "live". However in a reality, we live, and then we die in a created universe/dimension. -An idea that only you exist, you're the only one that thinks, everyone else is programmed to your infinite existance

If there are really parallel universes and other "clones" of ourselves then perhaps when we die our conscience is sort of absorbed by one of our clones.. And btw parallel universes could explain certain phenomena like telepathy, precognition and deja vu.

This has to be one of the top ten stupidest comments I've ever seen on youtube.
