You old-timers might find this strange, but for a kid like me, it's weird seeing Frampton WITH hair!
Saw him a few years in Chicago, what a great showman and singer. Nice, expressive lead guitar too.

I still have my ticket stub from Peter Frampton in the Seattle Kingdome 1976. The above footage brings back good memories.

I hadn't heard this song in a number of years and on the weekend, they were playing it in the Supermarket and it hasn't left my head ever since.
I had to come here and listen to it - thanks for that! =)

if you were alive in the 70's, you were practacally issued a copy of frampton comes alive. i know i have 2 copies of it on vinyl, and four on 8-track.

Frampton Comes Alive was the single biggest selling live album of all time.
For kids who'd never owned a Frampton album before, his live album was, none the less, a starter album for a lot of them.
This is one of the biggest numbers of '76.

In 1976 you couldn't turn the radio on...AM or FM without hearing Frampton or Boston. I think Frampton had at least 12 songs from the double live album get significant airplay. Fm was playing nearly the whole album. "Bob Mayo on the keyboards ...Bob Mayo"! |
